# Finder Toolbar - Custom Apps
You can pin things to the Finder Menubar by holding <kbd>Cmd + Option </kbd> while dragging an application. This allows you to move it into the toolbar of Finder.
This gives you some extra contextual applications that aren't on your dock.
I most often use this for Quicktime Player, VLC, [[Pages/RandomTips/Unzip - ANYTHING]], and Visual Studio Code. As video files, compressed archives, and text files with odd extensions I frequently want to open in a different application.
Having these in the Finder toolbar allows you to click and drag files and open them directly in those applications, which saves some clicks from Right Clicking and opening in an application, especially if the application isn't always recognized as being able to open a file.
